Eggs are obstacles that have appeared in The Next Wave, Ultimate Omelette and Cluck of the Dark Side. They are huge versions of Eggs the Chickens shoot. They always contain a Coin from Ultimate Omelette onward. They are often used to contain a variety of enemies, including Chickens, UFO Chickens, Chicks, UFO Chicks, Pilot Chickens, Drone Chickens, Metal-suit Chickens, and even Aliens.

Attacks

Eggs can't attack on their own, but as mentioned before, they may contain enemies. Destroying Eggs will free them.

Appearance

They are huge eggs of varying sizes. Every 25% of their health is depleted, they crack more and more. This doesn't happen in The Next Wave.

Editions do not alter them directly.

Encounters

The Next Wave

Eggs are found only in two waves - Wave 25 Scramble! Breakfast time and Wave 27 Sunny Side Up. In both waves, they contain ordinary Chickens. They have 300 health and they give 1300 points upon destruction. They have no weaknesses.

Ultimate Omelette

Eggs return in this game after their strange absence in Revenge of the Yolk. They are used more often, in Waves 4, 27, 43, 44, 46, 58, 102, 104, 107 and 116, or in 10 waves in total. In half of the Waves they appear in, Waves 4, 43, 46, 58 and 107, they contain nothing. In Wave 27, they contain Chickens, Chicks, or UFO Chicks. In Wave 44, they contain Chicks. In Wave 102, they contain Chickens. In Wave 104, they contain Chickens, Chicks, or Metal-suit Chickens. In Wave 116, they contain Metal-suit Chickens. They have 300 + Chapter * 200 health, and they give 2900 + Chapter * 100 points upon destruction. They also always contain a Coin now, and they may contain an Atomic Powerup. They are now weak to Ion Blaster, Vulcan Chaingun, Laser Cannon, ICBM, Barbequer, and Bird-Flu Gun.

Cluck of the Dark Side

Eggs are used just as often in Cluck of the Dark Side, in Waves 14, 21, 46, 49, 61, 66, 67, 106 and 113, or in 9 waves in total. They contain enemies in all waves they appear in. In Wave 14 and 21, they contain Chickens. In Wave 46, 49, 61 and 67, they contain Pilot Chickens. In Wave 113, they contain Aliens. In Wave 66, they contain UFO Chicks. Wave 106 is special, as there, eggs contain either Chickens, Pilot Chickens, Metal-suit Chickens, or UFO Chickens. Just like in Ultimate Omelette, they have 300 + Chapter * 200 health, and they give 2900 + Chapter * 100 points upon destruction. They are now also weak to Corn Shotgun.
